One of my favorite aspects of wedding photography is seeing how a couple’s personality and love for each other will unfold through their wedding day, and being able to share that story. Taylor and Alyssa both have the most awesome demeanors – rare combinations of cool and kind that start quietly and become stronger as you see them in their element. What I found to be so refreshing about them was that their ‘elements’ were so selfless – the whole day they were focused on their families, their friends, God, and each other. They lit up together as if no one else was nearby, and I am not exaggerating when I say that they had one of the most genuine, sweetest first dances I’ve seen in quite a while. Here is a selection of images that share a bit of their day :) Church: Chapel in the Woods at the Woodlands Church

Lindsay and Memo are exactly why I love wedding photography. Let me back track a bit. When I first met them, Lindsay and Memo were still in the middle of wedding plans and all the busyness that comes with it. It's no secret that the whole planning process can be pretty daunting, so I always hope to provide a relaxed atmosphere and a breath of fresh air for couples between the stressful moments. That being said, Memo and Lindsay kind of caught me off guard - even in a simple coffee den chatting about silly hobbies and favorite breweries, they absolutely glowed. It's something special when a couple constantly gets distracted by how much they love each other.
They were their own breath of fresh air.
It got so bad (good) that I almost forgot to go over any photography details by the end of the meeting. The wedding itself was terrific: a beautiful bride and GQ groom, tons of fun details, a great group of guests, and a lovely B&B locale with the sun setting. And while that's a heck of a recipe for an amazing wedding day, Lindsay and Memo's excitement and enjoyment of eachother was by far the highlight throughout the day. They have massive, unhindered crushes on each other and that has been an absolute joy to witness.
Douglas and Stefanie are two fantastic people, let me tell you. They're talented pianists, lovers of the outdoors, and just a whole lot of fun to be around - but the one thing about them that really stands out to me is just how much they enjoy eachother.
Half of our session was filled with them just being goofy and unabashedly in love; it wasn't cheesy or shallow, but deeply and beautifully genuine.
All of the locations and activities they used were taken from some of their favorite dates - it made for some great recollection of memories, a comfortable atmosphere, and just a ton of fun. While we did walk away with some chigger bites and a whole mess of sweatiness, it was beyond worth it. I'm so excited to be a part of their upcoming wedding!
Until next time!
Last year I posted up some engagement images from my session with Amanda and Brent:Amanda and Brent Engagements (The Woodlands, TX)Today, I'm proud to show a small selection from their beautiful wedding day!
What a wild few weeks it's been - finally back home and able to post some recent updates!
Here is a selection of images from my engagement session with Amanda and Brent up in the Woodlands. I had such a blast working with them (taking photos, throwing sand, chasing ducks), they're super awesome folks.
